"Mommies have birthdays too?"

That was the question that Mr. Emerson asked me when he heard that I was having a birthday the next day! And yes, I celebrated the big number "33" this year and was it ever a celebration. My sweet husband set up a big dinner at one of our favorite restaurants with a lot of my wonderful friends! (Thanks guys!) What a great surprise! We had a blast!
Thank you Todd-you continue to make me feel like the most loved and blessed wife ever. I love you more this minute than I ever have. xoxoxo!

Can you say "sugar coma"? :)
I wish I had been able to take pics with all my fabulous friends that were there that night, but those darn kids just get in the way! (just kidding!) Thank you all for coming-you made me feel so very special! I love you all!
P.S. Don't worry, a big Fall post of the kiddos is coming soon!

School Days!

Our sweet Emerson started 4-year-old Kindergarten this week! He had a great first couple days-he only goes on MWF. He loves his teacher and has already made lots of new friends. We absolutely LOVE hearing all about it each day (oh, to be a fly on the wall!!). Enjoy the pics!

This was the night before Emerson's first day! We sprinkled him with "Ready Confetti" to get him ready for his big day!

Ready to go!

Very proud of his new backpack!

Okay, well, Mommy and Goo didn't actually dress up for the occasion..:) You see that Goo has a book and "thinks" she is ready to go too!

Emerson thinks that it is very cool that him and Daddy both go to "work" now and both have bags to carry.

We are so proud of our little school boy! (Love those PJ shots, Goo!)

So sweet-and yes, I did run inside and dress her real quick. I felt bad that all her pics would be in pjs with bedhead!

There he goes! And I didn't even cry-oh, and he didn't either.
